My story with organising notes

Few Months back, I was really confused because i had my notes scattered everywhere like in apple notes, some posts were saved on linked or Instagram and some websites were just bookmarked.
And the worst part was that after adding a note or saving them in apps, I just forget and after a year or even a week I try to find that stuff , I can’t get anything and this happens every time.
I think most of us have this problem , don’t we ?
I was fed up from this problem and wanted some solution and then I started scrolling on youtube where I saw that some youtube creators use a productivity tool called Notion.

It looked great and I thought of trying it.😁
I thought my problems are solved but wait this is not the end.
After installing, I spent two weeks to create my workspace on Notion.
It was working great in start but then as you know free versions do have some limitations and notion’s free plan limitation was space.
I had a very limited space due to which I was again coming back to the old problem of managing everything especially the notes.
I tried different templates from creators and also created some of my own but this didn’t help that much.
I was kind of disappointed about it and for a month I just lost track of everything.
The productivity tool just looked like waste to me because it just had collections but I was not productive at all.
Then I thought of deleting it but before that I thought of giving it one last chance because of some new updates ( excited to try notion ai ).
I came up with a solution that instead of putting everything, I should create some kind of method to manage what to add and what is important to me.
For this I followed these steps:-
- Design your workspace : not like I did in two weeks , just first think about what is priority to you and try using the default templates notion provide and do it in small parts.
- Its a Notes app : Don’t forget that this productivity tool is for only notes, don’t use it manage your goals or some good lengthy documents. You can write down your goals too but use minimum pages for it , you can use it like vision board but only one page about goals and for documents you can just provide links.
- Mobile app : Try notion mobile app and think how can you manage notes through the mobile app because that’s where you will feel the most comfortable and you won’t add too much content through mobile.
- Manage the content : Think of this notion workspace as your room and keep it clean and everything arranged in proper place. Do also keep a rough page for your thoughts.
Just follow these tips and for how to use notion, you will get too much of the content online. Even in notion they have learning section to master notion.
In start it would look difficult but with time you would be able to use it properly.

So, Just give it a try , like I did and organise your notes in your comfort workspace.
